Maybe Cheltenham still, if both Barnet and Grimsby win, the latter with an achievable swing of goal difference.

There would need to be a 4-0 win for Grimsby and a 3-0 reverse for Cheltenham or an equivalent kind of score, as Cheltenham have scored more.

Given the fixtures, I can't see Accy turning Cheltenham over to that extent, nor can I see Grimsby going to Burton and hammering them, even if they do get a win.

The most likely scenario I see happening is Grimsby beating Burton say 1 or 2 nil, and Barnet losing to Rochdale which would see them down. Rochdale, although having been poor recently are still a good team, and far better than Barnet.

Mixed feelings on this.....Grimsby's ground is a traditional football place with a good atmosphere, but then again who can forget Barnet's gesture to us when we joined the league in 2007 with that banner?

No disrespect to either club, wouldn't like to get relegated ourselves so wouldn't wish it on anybody. But I do have a soft spot for Barnet, not just because of the banner in 2007, but because of the relationship we've built up over a number of years with their fans.

Grimsby have been on borrowed time as a football league club for a number of years now. Indeed, they've been in the bottom half of the table in 5 of their 6 seasons in League 2 and would've gone last year without Luton's deduction. A spell in non-league football will probably do them good.
