Micky Adams believes two wins from their three

Manager Micky Adams believes Port Vale will reach the League Two play-offs if they win two of their last three games.

Vale, who are two points away from the top seven, host Notts County on Saturday, before ending the season against Bournemouth and Shrewsbury.

"I think possibly 70 points will be enough," Adams told BBC Radio Stoke.

"Our approach is to try and win three out of the three if we can, but our season will not be over on Saturday, regardless of what happens."

Vale, who have taken 18 points from their last nine matches, have not been in the play-off places at any stage this season.

Adams placed his entire squad on the transfer list following a 3-1 defeat at Meadow Lane in September, and the Vale boss has been happy with the response that his team have made.

"I wanted to stir things up," Adams said. "Some people said it was a publicity stunt, maybe it was, maybe it wasn't.

"Nobody got hurt by it, I made a statement and they've took it on board. I think it's worked reasonably well."

there in the same boat as us(points wise) and have Notts county to play, i hope we dont worry to much about Aldershot and just set out for two straight wins starting today no messing about come on lads!!

For us, seven points from three might be enough, six may depend upon 'which' games we win. Nine points definitely will be enough. Port Vale going up with six points is probably going to rely upon us picking up six points too!

So how did that work out then?

Seven points might be enough but i do feel we will need to win all three games, this game against Dagenham feels every bit as important as when we played them in the conference play offs.
