Saw him today in Lytham..white hair and looking weathered.

Great C/H in his day.

I well remember Loz Walsh indeed, yeah.

Had 2 spells at Christie, once in the mid 70's and then he returned to the club pre 1989/90 season when doofus Larry Milligan imported all the Fleetwood squad to Christie. He had a good season in 1989/90 which was a season of struggle and was released by Griff at the end of the campaign. Bit of a lumbering carthorse in appearance, but did the job in hand !!

Loz Walsh could head it all day but unfortunately ran like a frightened camel which never endeared him to the few.
Lawrie Milligan was himself a dreadful fullback for us in his playing days and was out of his depth as manager, strangely both he and the now Stanley chairman Eric Whalley both commented that Morecambe was a "big" club when they left the managers position. And that was on gates of 300?

The Fleetwood connection did work for us on more than one occasion though, Ian Cain and Steve "Adder" Holden became firm faves at Crusty for many seasons!

Memories.

Pretty much ALL the Fleetwood contingent worked well for us Freez. Cainy, Adder, Walshy, Andy Lyons, Simon Woolerston etc etc.

The only exception being The-High-Pitched-Screatchy-Screatch tones of the Chuckle Brothers from St. Helens ............ take a bow Jimmy and Dave Collins. Good god.

Pass me the revolver matron. Going for a walk in the woods. Memories indeed .........

Forgot Wooler, not a bad lad, have to disagree with Loz, didn't we get Lyons when Joe was in charge?

Jimmy and Dave Collins, remember a 1-0 win at Haig Avenue with the winner coming from our only shot on target from outside the box from the lower voiced Collins (Dave).
Complete robbery that night, no more than 350 watching.

Happy Days indeed.
