MFC 8th 64 points...Shots 7th 65 points.... :o

Wouldn't surprise me if the final scheduled game at CP determines who between us gets into the play offs.

:?: :?: :?:

We need to win 3 of our 4 matches.

I believe we can win our 2 home matches.

can we win at either Notts County or The Shrews :?:

I think 3 out of 4 will get us there. 2 or 2 and a draw might as anyone can drop points. Will be an amazing atmosphere if it does go down to the wire. I remember down at Grays in 06 the atmosphere was brilliant.

i reckon 7 points should do it maybe 6 at a squeeze

and also Notts County are up but not mathematically Rotherham have to win all there remaining games and score 47goals i think it was said in the process

so Notts County might not as hungry and have there minds now on L1

No chance.

Notts will be out for revenge and to secure promotion possibly as Champions.

It's going to be backs to the wall for us, but then in previous situations like that we have shone.

Football at this business stage of the season always throws up the unexpected. ie 1-3 down in the 90th and win 4-3!!!!!!!

I believe we will win at County on Saturday.

We will definitely be up for it after last night, and the pressure is now off County for needing a win to definitely go up.

I too believe that it will be the match between us and Aldershot which will decide who gets the last play-off place. What a day that will be!

Just take a look at the remaining fixtures:-

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/footbal ... efault.stm

Even Notts County have still to play 2nd placed Rochdale next Tuesday!
And, still plenty of '6 pointer' matches between teams around us.

Unfortunately my final prediction table for the play offs is:

Rotherham 76 points
Aldershot 74 points
Bury 73 points
Daggers 72 points
Morecambe 71 points
Chesterfield 69 points
Northampton 68 points
Port Vale 66 points
Shrews 62 points

HOWEVER everybody can take some solace in the fact that my predictions are usually a mile out and in this case I HOPE I'M WRONG

Our position is based on a defeat at Notts, a draw at Shrews and home wins v Daggers and the Shots. IF we can get all 3 at the home of the Shrews.....IT'S A PLAY OFF PLACE!

I think after last night that we will go in to the last game with a mathematical chance of the play offs but relying on others above us to screw up as well as us win. Port Vale have a particularly tough run in but there are others who are likely to go above us on Saturday if we don't win.

OK, just done BBC Predictor again, and I reckon:-

1 Notts County 95pts +56

2 Rochdale 91pts +40
3 Bournemouth 86pts +14

4 Rotherham 78pts +8
5 Morecambe 76pts +13
6 Bury 76pts +1
7 Aldershot 74pts +13

But, what do I know? ....

4 Rotherham 77 pts +8
5 Aldershot 72 pts +15
6 Dag & Red 72 pts +12
7 Northampton 72 pts +12
- - - - - - - - - - - - -
8 Morecambe 71 pts +10
9 Port Vale 70 pts +15

That's just about as i see it, a bit like in the conference a few years ago on the last day at home, i think it was to Shrewsbury needing a win and finished 3-3 but as it turned out results didn't go our way.

I was never confident about picking any points up at last nights game or the one against Notts, It was the final three games i had us down to win and get into the play offs on goal difference. However im sure there will be a few twists and turns before anything is decided who would have thought Rochdale would loose to both Torquay and Darlington.

I have us in 8th place, 3 points behind Aldershot with them being our only game left to play. I also have them as having +2 goal difference on us before kick-off!

That would be an interesting last day! Who scored the most?
