Does anyone know how much we have actually spent on these new players ?

Have they all been free-transfers?

All frees - but then we've not realised any income from those we've released either.

Which would suggest that we still have a full transfer kitty to sign a couple of other quality players. Unless of course we plan to use the money put aside for transfers on paying the wages for these new players.

Don't forget signing-on fees. Free transfers in name only.

I thought a compensation package had to be sorted out for players under 24?

Surely that would mean that O'Carroll and Parrish will cost us to sign?

Is it if they get offered contracts only? Parrish was released so that wouldn't count in that case.

Or have I got it wrong?

No, you're right Mick. If a player has been released by a club then you don't have to pay any compensation. It's only if they get offered a contract that you would have to pay. I think everyone we've signed had been released by their former club so we didn't have to pay anything.

For example, if Thommo was under 24 then Scunthorpe would have had to pay us some money this Summer.

O'Carroll has come from Scotland so we dont have to pay anything.
