More Globe Arena aerial photography

Some more great photographs of the Globe Arena taken by commercial pilot Martin Hodgson have now been added.

As a reference, the last aerial photographs were on 2 February and are here http://www.morecambestadium.co.uk/gallery.asp?catID=49. Things have certainly moved on.

It's only when you see an aerial shot of the site do you get a true indication of the extent of the entire complex.

£12m is a lot to spend had it been just on the Arena itself. But taking all the others areas into consideration PLUS the cost of the new development on behalf of Westgate Wanderers then for me we've got an excellent deal.

I understand that the Chesterfield stadium has a capacity of 10,000 all seated and has cost circa £14m. It comes however without training facilities or additional sporting venues for the community.

At £12m I know who has got the better deal. Extra capacity and an extra covered area would have been nice, but why waste money when its not required at the moment.

Impressive!

Who does the aerial photography?

If there are plans to get some more aerial pics at a later date it would be interesting to have a shot of both the Globe and Christie Park on the same pic, if its possible!

It says in the original post, and on the gallery mate. Martin Hodgson, commercial pilot.
Is the glass half full or half empty? Mmmm? hard to say - but it does look like there's room for more beer!

I wasn't aware it was a competition. What do the winners get?
