You can guess where this came from!

"As many Morecambe F.C. fans are aware I have been involved in promoting soccer in the Phillipines for quite a few years now. One of my first involvements about 5 years ago was to arrange street soccer matches where a street was closed off and soccer matches for the homeless children, many who lived in the street, played and thanks to the efforts of everyone these are now paying off.

Team Phillipines have emerged as the best ranked Asian squad and are heading into the 2010 Homeless World Cup in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in September 2010. The Filipino Booters, mentored by coach Marlin Maro, are now ranked 34th overall, a remarkable improvement of 17 places from the year end ranking.

Mel Young, H.W.C. President paid tribute to the Phillipines for its tremendous spirit. Young said, "it is about participation of the world nations to create change to end homelessness. The Homeless World Cup is a beautiful football tournament and unlike any other in the world"

Keep the good work up Sir Ken ;)
