Could there be a black market in tickets nearer the final game..... :?: :?: :?:

I somehow doubt it, but with no restrictions on quantities being sold to individuals it could happen....... :o :o :o

That WOULD be a first for us.......

I'd think fans should refuse to buy from anyone other than the club or friends who've got them on their behalf (at face value).

And if anyone spots anyone trying to sell them over the odds then they should be reported to stewards or police immediately.

Can't see anyone who wants to go for the match really struggling for a ticket. Remember we are only averaging about 1750 home fans this season, so even if an extra 3,000 turn-up there will be plenty of room.

Hope the club will sell tickets on the day if we struggle to sell out. Plenty will come along last minute given the opportunity. :D

I think this is simply a good way to make sure that regular fans have the first wave of tickets, so no one can worry about being left out. We are unlikely to sell out well before the game and there may even be tickets available to neutral fans right up to the day.

We took just short of 11,000 to the final. If only 6,500 of that lot want tickets for the game then the decision not to restrict tickets could back fire.

I agree with Glen IF it is seen that some are benefitting then they need to be reported.

I'm sure it will not happen but you just never know!

I hope I manage to get one. I go to plenty of matches but I can't get to enough to make getting a season ticket worth it. So I'll just have to drive across and take my chances in the queue.

I`d guess a fairly significant proportion of that 11,000 were really fans of other teams with no real allegience to the Shrimps who just fancied a day out at the new Wembley and decided to go in the Morecambe end. I`m not just talking about Man Ure/Liverpool/Blackburn/etc... fans who live in/near Morecambe, but just fans of random teams who obviously weren`t playing that day, so decided to take in the experience of a Wembley final.... there were ceratinly many sat around me who seemed to fall into that camp (several with their team`s colours on!).

There`ll be a full fixture list around the country on the last day of this season... hope I`m wrong, but I`d be very surprised if we sell out.

Where are these so called "5000" fans at the moment - if they do all turn up I wonder how many will come to the new ground - just a thought!!!!

Another question - does CC have so much time on his hands he can pontificate about ticket touts?????

It depends on how many Aldershot bring they could bring a few more with it being a historic game don't know if they will sell out though think the away stand holds about 1,000

As few home fans we will have the 1,600 or so real Morecambe fans plus a couple thousand part time supporters who only go to the big game like the play off matches also we have the family and friends of Morecambe supporters who will be at the game if they like it or not

Of course, there may be the small matter of a play off spot being up for grabs for either of us. that might make it a bit more interesting!

What about this for a bizarre scenario? Tickets start selling well, so main stand, north stand and car wash are looking pretty full, only to find that the Shots can't get into the play offs themselves and so the Christie Avenue end only has about 100 or so Aldershot fans in it.
So, due to segregation rules, some Morecame fans can't see the game!

Please please tell me i am barking up the wrong tree, and that this situation could not happen.......could it?? :o

Btw I might yet be one of those season ticket holders who may not take up the chance of the extra tickets.

I brought a minibus full from Margate !

Don't know whether to risk the long journey without a ticket !!!

It could but remember it is the last game of the season and Aldershot will bring more just because it's the last LEAGUE game at Christie park home fans have been given the whole of the main stand so it's just the south stand for away fans.

ah yes could be very interseting if both team need a win for a play off spot what a fantastic game that would be!

You might be right CC to show concern!!! if true regular home fans and those who travel away with the team dont manage to get a ticket.Just because they cant afford to fork out for a season ticket. Alright give preferential treatment as a reward to the season ticket holders but limit to one extra ticket, then what could have been done was the printing of a voucher in the clubs programme say 3 consecutive home games prior to the Aldershot game for pay as you go spectators, to collect in return for the guarantee of at least one with a option for two tickets for the final game, after the season ticket have had there allocation. Most regulars would have purchased a programme collected the coupons/vouchers thus by the sale of extra programmes, swelling revenue into the club. And a fair reward to the 1,500 the attend regularily.

Don't worry everyone will get a ticket for either 2 reasons.
1st- It won't be the last game at Christie Park because of Play-Offs.
or
2nd- If tickets did sell out super fast I think the club might be clever enough to cash in on some temporary stands like what happened for Carlisle if demand was that high?

Either way I think a lot will go but think tickets will still be on sale till the eve of the match.

I have asked my Dad to buy me a ticket for this match (mainly because I stand in the paddock) but I'd be beyond amazed if we get anything like a sell-out.

i think the extra publicity will make most armchair supporters come along. we may even sell out but not before the game.

those that want to come will get tickets easily. those who are indifferent will hopefully get them but i doubt they'd go to any effort to buy one on the 'black market'

It should be a very good attendance but I would be supprised if tickets go very fast don't think that we will see a big up turn in ticket sales untill the end of April.
