I would say Wilson's nailed on for the number 3 shirt next season. Who gets the number 7 shirt depends on who we bring in but I wouldn't be surprised if it's Duffy.

He was going to have to leave some day. It's just unfortunate that he left now. Wish he'd of stayed for a final match though so we can give a proper good bye.

Lawrence Wilson......A Defender he is not...he should be running up the wing were he can do most damage.......

... but then he'd be number 11, surely.

Number 7 is usually right wing/midfield, so Duffy would make sense unless Sammy has other ideas for how his starting 11 might shape up next season.

Of coarse he's a defender , and where he is most effective as he can go forward and has the pace to track back . If you can remember when he went to left back , he started scoring goals coming out of defence .

Numbers 7 and 11 have always confused me.... Which is left wing and which is right?

At MFC, we've had Twiss being 7 (left sided) and Wainwright 11 (right sided) and previously Thommo wearing that shirt. But as Shrimper says, its often the other way around (Giggs @ Man U for example)...
