Manager Jimbo

I've been to watch both reserves games this week and to see a future manager in action. Jim Bentley coaches, motivates and encourages his players from the sidelines, an example that many more experienced managers in the league could copy. What a natural communicator he is, great social skills, the young kids really responded to his coaching and won well last night 3 - 0. I hope the directors look long-term and encourage Jim. Make him reserve team manager with a view to the first team when he retires because if they don't you can be certain that he will receive an offer from another club.

I posted on the reserve thread but I remb him managing at Daisy Hill & Lancaster he wont the first one 6v1 but lost to Lancaster both games in the Lanc cup. It was a while ago now though as the Daisy Hill game was the night Sammy took over at Morecambe.

He was brilliant on the touchline though and with hs natural leadership skills deff a future Morecambe manager.

I'm certain they would be and IF it was felt by Jimbo that for the time being his short term ambitions are away from CP then they are the logical choice remembering his connections there.

As I said before, I'm confident that one day Jimbo will manage at what I hope is his and certainly our club. I'm sure that Sammy sees him as his successor and his recent management of the reserves is the ideal preperation for the move 'up stairs'.

It would be a sad day IF he left, but for the long term benefit...... :?: :) :)
