75 points, can we do it?

Postby Crooky MFC » Sat Feb 27, 2010 6:16 pm

Points so far - 48
+
Points to play for - 39 = 87 (Easy Morecambe, win the rest of our games and we'll finish top 3 ;)

Realisticly, if we can go on a run like we did before christmas and win 6/7 games in a row, we'll have a great chance.

Doesn't this just make you realise, if we could just have a good start to a season, we'd have an extra 10/12 points on the board maybe and would be lying in an amazing position. Typical Morecambe ey ;)

Crooky next 2-3 home games vs Grimsby are all win able and we have 3 center backs all fighting for 2 places that is good.
We got Drummond on bench so that will be the kick up the back side Manny needs also.
And up front we got Wayne Curtis that did well after coming on as a sub.
I believe we can get 75 points we are sneaking up on the play offs don't say nothing thou lol

We're playing Grimsby 3 more times? Jesus christ, playoffs here we come!

Drummond will be a starter, Sammy didn't want to risk him today after Jevons was out for over a month with the same injury Drummond has, hence why he was only on the bench.

I don't realistically believe we'll win 10 out of our 13 remaining games but 75 points may not be necessary.

Burton and Accrington have fallen slightly behind the chasing pack after today, let's hope we can outlast the rest and hope one or more of Notts/Shrews/Rotherham/Chesterfield go downhill!

We've still to play 3 of those teams, if we can get 3 points off them then we'll be in with a great chance.

I'll be the negative one, not a chance of the play-off's. 65 points at best.

Having said that I will still be going to all our remaining games this season

I seriously do think we can reach the play offs (just about) if we can get a good run together if we can get something at Bournemouth then beat Grimsby if results go are way (they did today apart for Aldersot and Notts County) they we will be in the play offs spots.

looking at the remaining fixtures gives us 6 games at home all winnable takes us to 66 points, with a bit of luck shoud be able to scrape some away points as notts county and shrew away will be tricky,it is not too bad a run in,may be interesting to start a prediction for all; the remaining games as to results and likely finish

In no particular order heres who we have to play

7 teams above us Bournemouth(A) Aldershot(H) Northampton(A) Shrewsbury(A) Rotherham(H)
Notts County(A) Dagenham (H)

12 points from that lot would be a great tally

6 teams below us Grimsby (H)Lincoln(A) Torquay(H) Hereford(A) Crewe(H) Bradford(A)

13 points from that lot would be a good tally

25 points added to what we have already 48 points would give us 73 points

I think 75 would be a fantastic achievement

hope youre right and we can do it

its going to be an exciting finish to the season................

id be quite happy to beat last years tally of 63 points

15 points from 13 games should be quite straightforward

YES! We have a strong squad so no reason why we can't have a strong finish to the season. A win at Bournemouth would really give us the boost we need to push on.

Notts County go in to administration? I can't remember if they are skint or rich this week?
“Britain faces a simple and inescapable choice - stability and strong Government with me, or chaos with Ed Miliband: ".

So how did that work out then?
