The worrying thing is that that mud/sand heap at Colchester is a new pitch installed when the stadium was built. No idea who's doing ours but lessons can surely be learn't from that mess. Shrewsburys was laid around the same time and appears very nice.

Somebody once said (forget who) that grounds with all 4 corners enclosed suffered from the air being unable to circulate and therefore restricting growth of new seeded pitches.

Could it be that the 'open' terrace build was delayed to compensate. :?: :?: :?:

No :?: :?: :?: Thought not!

:o :o :o

Colchesters has 4 open corners (looks very similar to Shrewsbury) and is still an absolute mare'. Must be down to how they laid the pitch!
