I'll always remember him missing a crucial penalty, and later on finding out he wasn't allowed to play in the football league anyway....

He could be a bit dodgy at times.

Wasn't he the last player to play part time for Morecambe FC? How come he couldn't play in the football league?

Best moment though was scoring the winner (header from a corner if I recall) deep into injury time against Leigh RMI

And he was crocked, playing up front out of the way and we had used all our subs

I presume you mean in the shoot out against Dagenham. At least he had the bottle to take a penalty. My memory of that is Talbot consoling Murphy after the miss. As leading scorer Talbot should have been the first to put his hand up for a penalty in the shoot out rather than watching it from the half way line.

Perhaps if Talbot hadn't missed an open goal we wouldn't have even gone to penalties. Carlton and Elam should have also shown more bottle and stepped up.

What a rollercoaster that penalty shoot-out was! With Drummy having his effort saved, and Macca hitting the post we looked dead and buried given that Daggers had put their first two efforts in. We did well to get it back to effectively sudden death.

What a fantastic memory you have, I'd forgotten about that.
