The Shrimps boss has been thwarted in his attempts to arrange a friendly against a Manchester United side as they had a Middle East training trip and he admits it is the worst situation he has known in over 20 years of management.
He told the Morecambe Visitor: "I've never known anything like it in all my time in management and it's all getting a bit of a nuisance now.
"The snow looked nice for a couple of days but since than it's been nothing but a pain for everyone involved in football.
"Finding a decent venue for training is a constant pain and we are all just desperate to get a game of football in at some stage.
"We have been training indoors at the Soccerdome in Manchester but we don't want to do that on a regular basis because it isn't ideal for some of the lads as it is harder on the joints than a natural surface.
"The one good thing though is that everyone is in the same boat and a lot of other clubs in our league are using the same venue."
