I think for us, this run of bad weather is just at the right time. Gives us a breathing space to get players fully fit who may otherwise have been patched up and sent out due to a lack of cover. We've still got a couple of suspensions but with fully fit cover, that's not a problem. And everyone else is having games off too, so others will have an even worse fixture back-log.

So how did that work out then?

The only problem is that those players looking to get fit and those that are have nowhere to train and practice. The only work is being done in the gym at present. It must be very frustrating for the players.

The thing is that it is more than just a football match. I look forward to it. It is two hours of pure escapism where you can blot out the working week, all your worries and fears and just concentrate on the passion.

If was just a football match, I wouldnt bother going.

I couldn't agree more with Mark S i am gutted another game is now off not had my fix since Boxing day and that seems ages ago. Its not just about the game its the whole match day experience from waking up looking forward to the trip up meeting up with friends, pre match pint, pie all in and then the main event the match itself followed by a visit to my favorite pizza takeaway in Preston on the way home. Got to keep the wife happy as well. ;)

I've lived in Preston for 5 years and have yet to discover a decent Pizza place. If only Gizmo's would open around here

Wow gutted . I collected a pizza from Gizmos last night after the game .Looking forward to it all the way home. They always used the best pepperoni ever now it's just cheap fatty crap. Really dissapointed the legendary Picante is no more. Another happy memory gone along with Roosters rib burger and those late night onion rings served from that hatch outside Oasis amusements
