I think it should be seeded - big teams away to small teams.

This years draw wasn't exactly inspiring - not surprised hardly anyone turned up to see Wigan vs Hull, when they can see that match during the season on their season ticket.

I think there is still a lot of value left in the FA Cup, but most of that is when big teams travel to smaller teams (Reading vs Liverpool was exciting yesterday evening) - but maybe the FA need to look at imposing a price cap - I'm sure plenty more people would turn up if watching football wasn't so damned expensive.

Not sure I agree with that. Barrow took about 8,000 to Sunderland and have ended up with a fantastic pay-day as well as going to an amazing stadium, a memory that will live on for decades. If it had been at Holker Street they would have had about 5,000 maximum. Liverpool at home in the FA Cup or at Anfield? Most of us would prefer away for the experience and the cash. Obviously winning a replay would then be nice!

Don't think the Carlisle fans will agree with that. at least 6000 of them had a great day out and should have won yesterday. They outplayed Everton for most of the game. The marras outsung the premier outfit throughout the game and it was quite funny being in the Everton end watching them look over wondering why they were singing so much. The only noises were grumbles, moans and a cheer when they scored and most of them walked off before the penalty. Glad I don't support a Premiership club?

Shame Stanley was still stuck on Lancaster railway station at 12 o'clock but pleased he made it by low flying aircraft 10 mins into the game

One Carlisle fan paid £65 from preston just to see the 2nd half!

Yes the aircraft did come in handy as a last resort. Setting off from Morecambe with my son on the 0830 train ,on prebooked tickets, excited with tickets tightly in our pockets. Arrived at Lancaster for the 1038 from Carlisle ,which my Nephew was on . There was problems as in a power failure ,no trains to Preston busses were ordered. Meanwhile there was a back log now my Nephew was crawling along from Carlisle.
Time was rolling on ,so i went back for my car then waited for the lad ,who was still on the train. Got back to Lancaster were he embarked at 1 pm, then foot down to Liverpool traffic was serious managed to get parked up, asked a toffee were ground the ground was he said jump in ,in turn kindly dropped us off outside the ground. Nice chap ,as he didnt steel my lads ds.
We got into the ground at 310pm, were 6000 noisey Cumbrians greeted us the rest is history. The result didnt reflect the game.
At least using public transport took the stress out of the day

The FA Cup is still brilliant for the smaller clubs but some Championship and many Premier clubs have 'bigger fish to fry' i.e. Europe, stopping in the Premier League or getting into the Premier League.

If the clubs could agree to a £10 for adults, £5 for under 16's across the board up to the final it would more or less guarantee full (or a lot fuller) stadiums for most games.

Football is now an expensive sport to watch live and something like this would make it accessible for far more fans. Make it truly the fans cup again like it used to be.

Don't suppose it will happen anytime soon.

the FA cup still has some charm left in it leeds beating united is what the cup is all about a smaller club going to a place like Old Trafford or Anfield and pulling off a shock.
