Do Morecambe need to spend or get loanee's come janaury i personally think Morecambe need another striker ideally Jordan Connerton if Motherwell can't match Lancaster's offer.
Maybe another midfielder on loan.

No money needs to be spent, poss a loan striker should do the job!

We've been lucky so far with our current loan striker but we need to build for the future and by all accounts Jordan is one definately with a future ahead of him.
If we spent £25K on Duffy, who if I'm honest has still to deliver, then for me a figure of circa £15K for Jordan with the usual add ons if sold on would be money well spent.

If the money/wages are there.

As we look safe, i would say it is time to look further than january as we have, a relatively aging squad, our reguarly featured players are mostly over 27 , with a dozen of them approaching, or over 30 now, we now need to look at bringing in promising young players, possibly on loan and look to the future, it would be great to make the playoffs, and possibly promotion, but if we went up we would need a practically new squad.

We've got one by the name of Panther

. Would be nice to get Thommo on loan till end of season , but then we need a pacey striker to keep up with him . Hmmmm, is there anybody out there.

. BUT, we need to offload first .

it's all very well saying splash out on Connerton, where not made of Money and what little Money we've got id rather put towards signing Jevons & Panther on long term deals rather than wait till summer in a open auction
unless Morecambe did a swap player exchange or something with Aron Taylor, or Fraser McLachlan, Adams, McStay etc? for securing Connertons signature

If we`er on about Connerton, ask yourself this, why did we miss him in the first place? Along with the handful of kids that are other clubs. I keep going on about these decent footballers going out of the district, why do we let it happen. Because we do not have a solid youth policy in place.

I think when Manny Panther comes back he'll be like a new signing and really inject some guile into our already hard-working midfield, allowing the likes of Stanley and Drummond to push forward and get scoring again.
People forget that we have 5 or 6 players unavailable at the minute - whilst we may be having a bit of a bad patch, I'd think most of these injuries are short-term and when those players come back we'll start performing again.

I'm not being funny, but those players above would not move to Lancaster.
We don't need anyone, just a few injuries and suspensions etc, if we need anyone its an exciting winger with bags of pace. Preferably right sided.

I'm a great believer in that you have to speculate to accumulate. By signing someone like Jordan who is young, raw but obviously knows where the onion bag is , we would be investing in our future.
Remember we entered a bidding war for the lad who eventually signed for York and he hasn't exactly set the Blue Square of fire to date. Was it £45K we offered? Anything in the region of £15K for Jordan would seem like good business sence to me. Not a big fee by any means but with add ons should the guy move on, City would be well compensated. Also I can't see City holding back on a deal with us, despite the local rivalry, if they had assurances long term about additional payments and if it meant that a local lad could further his career at a League club.
I agree that we should sign PJ and MP BUT both will be free transfers and therefore any money spent on the 2 will be signing on fees. I wouldn't be suprised if preliminary discussions with the players and their present clubs have not already taken place or are about to.
Of course it's all speculation at the moment even if the rumours eminated from the LEP in the first instance.

I kind of agree with Mr Potatohead, if we can bring in another promising youngster then great, but we need to give them more pitch time. I think we could do with letting Duffy have a run in his favoured position and give Taylor a few starts.

Again, I agree with you too, but different managers have different styles, preferences and priorities. I would like to see more focus on '
home grown' youth development but you can't argue that the existing policy isn't successful.

id take 250K but no less for Wilson in the sumer, then spend that on a 20-goals a season striker or maybe two!
then just get another leftback on a free transfer

I agree they could get much better teams than Lancaster to give them a contract they are not going to move to Lancaster just so we can have the player that we want

Lancaster City i think that they are top of the Unibond league could be wrong player's like Jordan Connerton could be a huge bargain eg like Jermain beckford of Leeds or you could be like Stuart Fleetword when charlton got him from forest green after scoring alot of goals.
Lower league football many young talent in this league.
