is it quite bad down there on the news this morning they had a reporter in Cheshire talking about the bad conditions there and on the travel news tonight a couple of trees had fallen blocking roads.

Good website to keep an eye on is the BBC Travel website.

A538 Cheshire - Manchester Road closed both ways due to fallen tree and fallen power cables between Dumbah Lane and Dorchester Way , in Macclesfield

According to met office, to be -5 overnight tonight in Macclesfield, and -6 tomorrow night. If that's the case, I'd be pretty doubtful it will be on.

That's yesterday's update, which was linked earlier in this thread. Interesting to see what the pitch is like at the moment after last night's frost.

Not sure what the weather is like in Macclesfield but there's a really deep covering of snow in Manchester city centre this morning.

personally, I'm disappointed because I was going today but won't be able to do the re-arranged, mid-week date. For the club, I'm pleased, a free weekend will help to patch up some of the walking wounded and get back on track before facing a Macc side that are on a strong run of form.

So what do you do on a cold winter's day in Morecambe?

So how did that work out then?

Have more time to prepare for evening dinner guests.
Is the glass half full or half empty? Mmmm? hard to say - but it does look like there's room for more beer!

Fantastic news given our injury situation also if the pitch was bit dodgy we could have picked up more knocks
