People have been stuck inside for days or rushing around doing stuff like shopping.
Now they can take a bit of a breather and want some fresh air.
We've been playing well, people have been noticing and thinking 'I'll go and see them soon'. This is the occasion. Accy will bring a few as well.

Weather's decent.

Accy vocal support was brilliant and our North Stand could do well to copy them.

Was suprised how few Accy fans bothered to turn up. Probably no more than 400 on Boxing Day is crap. Mind you with their poor gates i shouldn't have expected more I suppose!

Surprisingly good home turnout. Massive queues to get in at 2.45. Minus the Accy following there must have been 3000+ home fans. A good 500 more than any game this season.

Typically a bit of a lackluster performance for all those fair-weather fans to see. Must have seen us play the Dingles 6-7 times and only seen the one victory.

Roll on Rochdale!

How many times does it happen? We have a great run, then a big game brings out some of the people who only watch the Shrimps occasionally and we flop BIG TIME! :(
Was today the day we saw why Morecambe will not be in the play offs at the end of this season? Am I Ned in disguise?? :x

floaters will always come on boxing day wether the team play well or not, boxing day fixtures are always well attended across the board, anyone who thinks team performances make a big difference to our gates should look at the massve rise that never happened when we were winning week in week out for 7 games

Think you've missed the point, they all come on boxing day each year......see us play crap and reduce the chance of most of them ever coming back.
A Bournemouth performance would have seen us go 4th and surely had such an effect on those there they would have gone to the next game

At least they saw an entertaining final 20mins if the whole game had been like the first 70 that would have been a bad afternoon for them.

last boxing day we won 4-1 and 5-3 the one before that. Not many came back after those , so I doubt many would have returned had we spanked Stanley yesterday

Hell, a bad performance and predictions of failure......

We've done bloody well the last couple of months. It had to end sometime. OK to Accy of all teams is a blow but maybe the wake up call we needed. Complacency can easily set in. With the transfer window about to open, maybe Sammy will be able to do a bit of wheeling and dealing with Danny Adams, Henry McStay and possibly Moss out on loan until the end of the season to free up some cash to bring in a speedy striker/winger.

With MP on his way back that extra bite in midfield may be just what the Doctor has ordered.

Leaving us with just Bentley as defensive cover?
