Fixture Congestion

Leading Premier League managers are complaining about the number of matches their players have to appear in - sometimes as many as two per week.
One manager who didn’t want to be named, but spends a lot of time at the Emirates Stadium, said:-
“Playing two games a week is taking ‘le michael.’ My players earn shed loads of money and they need days off to spend it.
“Football has got in the way of their lifestyle and the Premier League really has to rethink the way in which they compile the fixtures.”
