really sad news seeing the linnets go out of business yesterday hope they reform in some different guise - i remember watching morecambe play there in the late 70s and early 80s what a trip that was for a northern premier league game 600 mile round trip

we beat them 2 0 i think it was 2001
found a perks lookalike in the york pre match too quite a few of their supporters came in
it was the start of the robbie talbot toe injury saga he came off injured that match
think we got brentford in the next round and lost 1 0

Yep Nov.01. The week before we had lost 2.1 at Farnborough and the week after we beat Margate 2.1 at home 8-)

We've come a long way this decade :D

Very sad to see this happen to any club. Kings Lynn usually had the highest crowds at their level so very worrying to see this and it makes you wonder how many more will follow now the Inland Revenue are coming down hard on those in arrears.

I was at the Farnborough game and Celi was awful deserved to be a subbed sub.

Name at least two other players who played for Morecambe who came on as a sub only to be substituted but didn't suffer an injury?

Colin Hunter (I'm a alien, I'm a alien) at Evesham, came on as sub, sank to his knees in 18 inches of sand and mud, went off subbed, filthy, hardly touched the ball!

Ian Monk in the ATS final at Deepdale however I think it was more for tactical reasons.

The sad thing about Kigs Lynn is it because they stretched themselves trying to get their ground up to Conf North standard so they could be let in. they then thought they had found an investor who pulled out right at the last minuite giving them no option but to fold.
