Well Sean my asessment would be that Sammy eventually noticed after only 1 win in 10 games or so and playing a formation that wasn't working , because we were too slow . He decided to have a change and use a formation that most normal teams have with a BACK FOUR ( i have mentioned this a few times) with 2 good pacey full-backs and Hey Presto , we win 4 games on the bounce. . Well thats my asessment in a nutshell.

OK, so we`re not winning the matches... at the moment, but we`re not losing them either and at the end of the season, if we`ve turned our form round, those odd points from draws early on, rather than losses could make ALL the difference.
Unfortunate about Haining getting injured so early on, same with Fraser, but, just on Friday, I was commenting at how strong our overall squad is - including the bench - competition for places will be increasingly strong, not to mention, the options to fill in for injured players will show and over all, at the end of the season, it`s the strength of the squad that regularly makes the difference.

I still stand by the comment and think that although we got a point in the early games, rather than possibly losing, I think the major point to focus on is that the tems we played, were in the top 0 in the league and they DIDN'T get 3 points! and we may be able to reign them in a little easier.

Either way - 4 nil is a great result and 3 league games unbeaten - bring it on!!

Here's one, over 300 minutes (including Injury time) since the side last conceded a goal in a league game. 3 consecutive league clean sheets, equalling last season's record (our best run as a football league club). From the 3-2 comeback at Grimsby through to the 2-1 home victory against Barnet we weren't breached for 350 minutes last season. A clean sheet at Vale Park on Saturday will see us pass this, set a new record for consecutive clean sheets, and possibly extend our football league record of league wins in a row. C'mon you reds!
