Steam Bloody Racket

Steam Bloody Racket

Early hours of Wednesday morning sailing to the Isle of Man is the 'dangerous goods' sailing. There is a restriction on the number of passengers, only 42. I have attempted to book on this sailing in the past with difficulty. A few weeks ago I booked with a car and had no problem... interested in this, I tried a few random dates. No room for foot passenger, room only for vehicles & driver. Hmm...

I worked this Sunday. I tried to book a 'day trip' so I could come to the game tonight. No room for foot passengers. So yesterday I went in to the ferry shop and asked. they made a call and released a 'car' for a foot passenger. Excellent!

£62!!!

WHAT???

"you can't book a day trip less than 24 hours before you sail"

But I couldn't book MORE than 24 hours before I sail because you wouldn't let me!

"£62"

Fu......... I thought...

"No thanks" I actually said.

So Morecambe Player tonight

The money you must have spent over the years! Surely it'd work out better to buy a little jet-ski!
Is the glass half full or half empty? Mmmm? hard to say - but it does look like there's room for more beer!

and I'm just off to Manchester airport - first big match I've missed since Daggers away in the playoffs. The excitement of the odours of Marakech tempered by absence of the smell of the North Stand on a buzzy night.

Ah well, give em one for me tonight as well Shrimper.

Ex-World Superbike/British Superbike/TT racer Jamie Whitham used to fly a microlight over here from the UK when he was visiting his dad in the north of the Island. I'm not a keen flyer though!

Did think about getting my own boat a couple of years ago... sail across to Glasson Dock, sleep on the boat then sail back... Trouble is my taste in boats wrote checks that salary will never get close to! 8-)
