New Peteborough manager.

I always thought he was a good young manager and even said he could have been a replacement for JH at the time.

We always had trouble beating his Tamworth sides he had them well organised and his players stuck to his game plan.

Excellent move for both parties.

Deserves a chance to manage in the league.

Good luck to him. Hope it is'nt too much too soon, a la Paul Ince. Conference to Championship overnight is a big ask.
His dad had a great left foot in a white boot 8-)

I was quite surprised by this appointment, and I think Posh fans were aswell judging by some of the criticism aimed at their chairman claiming it to be a budget appointment.

It will be interesting to see how he gets on in the Championship, as like it's been said before it's quite a step up from the conference but he sets his team out to be very organised and difficult to break down so should be set up well for a relegation battle.

This move bye peterboro was a surprise to let go of darren ferguson a young up and coming manager getting the boot.
and bring in a young up and coming conference manager ok his has not much experienced but he must be organised as a manager for a championship team looking at him.
I remember when Charlton let go of alan pardew, we looked at mark cooper but declined because of age and league experienced and that why we had got phil parkinson and of course he was cheaper.

His teams always had two solid sets of four and we could never break them down if they had had a really good striker (after Bob Taylor) then Tamworth would have been a good team they just lacked that cutting edge.

I was supprised a top conference/league teams never came in for him a few years bck. After he left Tamworth i thought he would have moved up the ladder but ended up in conf north.
