New Stadium floor plans

New Stadium floor plans

Postby Christies Child » Thu Nov 12, 2009 9:43 am

We already know the layout of the 2nd floor ( :?: )of the new stadium, but are their floor layout plans for the ground and first floor( :?: ) that could be made available on the New Stadium site?

Ground floor will be the changing areas and gym I assume but what about the first / second floor?
Is this going to be offices that are being made available to the business sector?

Thanks.

:?: :?: :?:

Excellent.

I'm sure that others will also appreciate your post.

The plan showing the ground floor layout is particularly impressive with the Gym and Drugs Room!

Great stuff....... :D :D :D

Are the pitch dimensions clear on there to anyone ?

it looks like 101 metres long and 66 metres wide. Anyone know what that is in yards?

I just wondered if we have gone for a big pitch which would suit our football style when Thommo returns !

110 yards by 72 yards. Not big by any means.

Great to look at all the fine detail of the ground. The facilities will be a million times better than Christie Park.

Few things that confuse me though. Says the home end will be based on Christie Park? Is the North Stand (or parts of it) coming? Bit confused with the seating also. Says 1736 seats in the main stand but I thought the requirement was for at least 2000? Also says something else about 50 seats for families on the other side with the potential for 294 extra. Would be a little odd having a few seats bolted on to the terrace?

Added up the stands to make a 6793 capacity. Sounds about right to me. Could we give half the side terrace to larger away followings?

The home end will be based on the North Stand at Christie Park i.e. the general design, shape, accoustics, etc. Sounds like the side terrace carwash equivilent is intended as the new Family Stand and I imagine there's some requirement for seating hence the 50. I also think the possibility of an extra 294 seats in this stand is to cover a situation where we are obligated to provide 2000 seats in total. Plus, isn't the entire ground being designed with easy installation of seats in mind should we ever find ourselves in a league that requires all-seater stadia?

I have a feeling that the 1736 seats doesn't include the seating provided via the Executive Boxes; the Directors seating; sponsors seating and invalid assistants as well as the additional seating in the stand opposite the main stand which I presume is for 'family use'.

I'm sure that the plans do provide for the minimum seating under league rules and at this stage I personally see no reason to provide more than the minimum requirement. The way that I have read the plans provides for expansion at a later date if required and that to me is the most logical way for future developement.

Interestingly their appears to be no indication as to where the Club Shop although I suspect that it will be to the right of the main entrance currently designated as Office space.
