New Stadium latest pics

See the new stadium web site for latest photos taken this afternoon of the Main Stand Central block's first stairway going in - with earlier pics still there.

Work due to start soon on the terraced area for the seating.

Nice sunset!

Really appreciate the updates, not having the chance to see the development first hand. Thanks!

Ditto the guys above, plus, I think you're really lucky to get so up close and personal - from the photo's it looks like you feel the same and are taking some nice shots.

Excellent Mike.

Particularly good to see the foundations for the 'new' North Stand in place.

Don't know about others but the height of the main stand impresses me.

The pitch will be seeded and not turfed. The club have also been assured by the experts that it will take only 8 weeks before a match can be played on it......providing that the weather is favourable.

Spireite here in peace.

I'm following your ground build with interest after hearing yours was going up at the same time as ours. It appears we have been able to crack on a bit quicker due to being on a brownfield site whereas you've had a bit more prepping work to do but it appears we're both aiming to be ready for next season. Interested to know where abouts the site is in Morecambe - is it far from Christie Park? Also interested to see you're planning on keeping some terracing. Would have liked to have seen it at the b2net but it appears we needed the grants, and sadly grants aren't compatible with terracing. Looking forward to visiting your new pad anyway...has it got a name yet?

No mate.

Naming rights up for grabs.

The ground is not far from the existing one. If you've been before you come over the bridge from Lancaster and then eventually get to the Shrimp roundabout (with the Toby Carvery on the corner).

Currently you'd carry straight on at the roundabout to Christie Park.

For the new one, you turn left at that roundabout, go over a bridge and it's about half a mile along that road, on your right.

It will have scope for extra capacity as and when (if) we ever need it.

They have listened to the fans quite a bit and the home 'end' will be quite a bit bigger than the away one. Minimum requirement for seating and the rest terraced.
Is the glass half full or half empty? Mmmm? hard to say - but it does look like there's room for more beer!

I will be relieved when I know for certain that we are both in the league 2 next season.

Enjoyed my trip to Sincil Bank last season. My first time back there since we lost to Graham Taylor's Lincoln side in the FA Cup. A late Percy Freeman header :(

Does anyone know if the photos on the new stadium site can be enlarged ? They are a bit small to see in detail.
