Just got brighton job - bit of a shock appointment in my opinion

Was one of the (realistic!) front-runners for the job. Coppell was a genuine possibilty having managed us to relative success prior to a reluctant departure to Reading last time out but after his 'tempted but no cigar' response to our serenading, Poyet emerged as one of 4 in the frame.

Personally I am chuffed with his appointment though it'll be deemed something of a gamble. His coaching seems to be top-rated and he's made an impact in training already.

We'll see how it goes, I guess.

I have heard the Coppell is going back to Brentford

Blimey! Heard he's lookin' for possible last appointment but in no hurry. Would be bit surprised but he's a gent and doesn't forget his past clubs so feasible.

Reckon he could sit it out for a year / 18months though.
