Well was last week a false dawn after all?
Today was truly diabolical (even at 2-0 up!!)
The lack of fight, tactical awareness and basic skill was shocking!
It was extremely difficult to find any positives from a performance like that against, what looked at times an equally dreadful Morcambe team.
Kavanagh, fresh from his cameo (2nd half) show last week was non existent, Hurst looked WELL short of something (can't make my mind up if the guy is injured or unwell or whether he is just another in a long line that plays well in his first couple of games and then goes into steep decline)If he IS injured, why is he being played? (If it is either of the other two options, why is he being played??)
Russ again sounded bemused and extremely tetchy when the fairly lightweight interview conducted by James Phillips got round to pressure, but one thing is for sure he WILL feel the pressure if todays performance is repeated!!

I think that is a bit unfair we were a poor Morecambe side we played well in parts & battled away to come away with a draw when we could have won if we had put our other chances away.

Jevons goal was a good strike & not many keepers at league one level would have saved it. What was hilarious was the stick Barry Roche was getting from your commentator by stating he is not a very good keeper. Barry Roche was outstanding last season & got player of the year award for his displays so how he can he say is a poor keeper when he showed true form for us last season?

Sorry Curtis, I have to agree with Magic this time.
The most interesting thing about today was my half-time pie.
It was two dreadful sides wasting an hour and a half of my time and making me pay for it.
Carlisle were cruising from the off and never got out of first gear. Any half decent (even non-league) side should have beaten Carlisle today. Morecambe weren't up to the job and on that showing will be lucky to stay in the football league this season.
Surely Carlisle can't play as badly again this season...... can we?
It was worrying when James Phillips asked Abbott if he was back under pressure, Greg hadn't got a clue what he was talking about. A few more performances like that and he will !!
The only bright spot was another blistering performance from Keogh.

I am afraid anyone who was content with that performance today is too used to lower league football.
I will concede Morcambe were pretty fair going forward, but frequently, a shambles at the back.
Even an ADEQUATE performance from Carlisle would have seen us 3,4 or maybe even more up inside an hour.
Morcambe deserved the draw because they kept battling away.
We were AWFUL!

Agree with most of the comments. Just irritating that we could have buried Morecambe if anyone could be bothered to get out of first gear and do their jobs. We desperately need to pull the crowds back and that display will not help.
