At the time I posted I'd been told that it was basically their Youth Team. I was proved wrong but it would appear that I wasn't too far off with my post!

Of our lads who will probably feature on Saturday, Mullen, Jeavons, Parrish and Adams didn't feature in the JPT game with Baz only playing the first 45 and Craney not even on the subs bench I seem to recall.

I think Saturday is going to be a very close game and is too close to call!

Players above Hurst's total of 4 - Pidgeley, Harte, Livesey, Raven, Robson, Anyinsah, Taiwo, Dobie, Kavanagh.

Problem - injuries to Taiwo and Livesey, needed to play Hurst and new boy Offiong.

Still leaves seven players there with the most starts before Hurst (six required by the rule) - Pidgeley, Harte, Raven, Robson, Anyinsah, Dobie, Kavanagh.

In actual fact we only played three of those - Kavanagh (5), Raven (7), Robson (7).

Six of the starting eleven against Morecambe had actually made no prior starts at all - Collin, Kane, Horwood, Burns, Madine, Offiong.

The other two - Murphy 3 and Robson 4.

Conclusion = cock-up.

To be honest - the only thing that matters is that Carlisle won - fair play to them with a weakened team or not.

This weekend will be a different kettle of fish because of the financial implications of advancement in the cup.
