Good shout. I'll add:

Coupling
Game On
Men Behaving Badly
The Inbetweeners
The Detectives

...and not strictly a sitcom, but one of the funniest programmes to have been on TV in the last 10 years - Teachers.

Comedy, like music and food, is so subjective but, for me....

Fawlty Towers
The Office
Extras
Nighty Night (first series)
Early Doors
Royle Family
The Young Ones
Filthy, Rich and Catflap
(though those last two were definitely 'of the age' and haven't stood the test of time so well)
Flight of the Conchords
Ab Fab

......are ones, off the top of my head, that tickle me.

Coupling - for me a poor man's Friends (which I don't particularly rave about but is the superior version IMO, a bit less clumsy in 'build up to a punchline' format. BTW I don't know how they got away with selling 'Coupling' 'back' to the US as it was a straight Friends rip-off anyway).

Also 'Only Fools...' - most over-rated comedy ever (IMO). Not rubbish but nowhere near the 'classic' it's made out to be. No better than the likes of Hi-de-Hi and 'Allo Allo'.
Again, very formulaic 'di dum di dum.... obvious punchline'.

Here goes - not my worst ten, but ten of my faves...

Fawlty Towers, sheer genius, farce at its finest.
Phoenix Nights, ditto, some classic episodes.
Father Ted, mental, wierd and silly, all at the same time.
Frasier, consistently funny, sometimes brilliant.
Early Doors, a grower, with characters not caricatures.
Spaced, Simon Pegg before he went Hollywood, silly and funny.
The Thick of It, very visceral and sweary but some insults are hilarious.
The original Reggie Perrin with Leonard Rossiter, again silly lines and fantasy.
The Good Life, cozy yet warm and funny. Felicity Kendal, nothing more to be said.
Loved the Young Ones but boy has it dated badly!!

There are more.....love Kath & Kim and Flight of the Conchords, also Summer Heights High was so bloody daft... the list goes on....

Without a doubt! Lee Mac one liners are superb! Tim Vine is actually incredibly quick with one liners in his stand up routine.

Top totty too...

Oh, sorry!

The other fantastic sitcom that was under rated has to be Green Wing! Totally surreal and quite dark at times. For me it comes in above Scrubs for two reasons. firstly that darker side and also, Scrubs went on a couple of series too long, where Green Wing (like Not Going Out) quite while it was ahead.

So that is...

Not Going Out,
Green Wing,
Scrubs,
Faulty Towers,
Father Ted,
Inbetweeners,
Two Pints of Lager & a Packet of Crisps (first couple of series, awful show now).
Big Bang Theory, (more top totty too!)
Image
The I.T. Crowd,
Soap.

Tomorrow I'd put them in a totally different order! Does Family Guy count as a sitcom?
