McStay to play v Lincoln?

McStay to play v Lincoln?

Postby Christies Child » Wed Oct 28, 2009 1:42 pm

Radio Lancs have just reported that Arts will not be playing on Saturday due to the reaccurance of an old injury.

Time for McStay to press for a long term place in the team.....assuming that WH is still out.

So are you saying he will play, or just guessing?

The thread title suggests he will, the content suggests speculation.

Reads as clearly speculation to me ;) ;) ;)

So how did that work out then?

Curtis is not a defender, you are not going to get the best out of him playing there.

--------------Smith--------------

Mcstay---Parish---Bentley---Wilson

------------Drummond------------

--------Hunter-----Craney--------

--Duffy---------------------Twiss---

--------------Jevons----------------

With Drummond sitting infront of the defence and twiss and duffy in a more advanced role could get the best out of the team

My guess is because lincoin only scored 9goals so far and away from home they going to play only one up front.
I would play one up front and keep it tight looking to get goals from set pieces then second half bring on 2nd striker.
If morecambe are well organised on saturday i cant see nothink less than 3points

I can't see McStay starting on Saturday. Parrish has looked good when deputising so if he's recovered from the crash then in he comes for Arts.

Not a chance , Gary Hunter has been our most consistant player recently and definately the best player last Saturday . If anybody shouls make way for Stanley then it should be Craney , who did absolutely nothing on Saturday. I think we might see Wainwright back in the fold too,

............Smith .............
Moss.....Parrish ...Bently .....Wilson

Wainy.......Hunter .....Drummy....Twissy

...............Jevons..... Mullin

SUBS To Be Used
Mcstay, Stanley,Curtis.
When we lose our stamina in secong half. ;)

with all due respect Hunter as been playing effective at right-wing back and not central midfield

and where Hunter likes to play deep and break up attacks Drummond of late as been playing the holding role in midfield, and was MoM last week ;)

I'd go almost the same as that but have Mullin in for Craney.

With all due respect , he played in centre-midfield on Saturday and Duffy was the wing back . Over the 90 mins i thought Hunter was M.o.M. and Craney did nothing hardly. Looking at some of your posts on other threads , i thought it was your preference to go 4-4-2. ;)

Sod it,had a few beers and dont care,i would drop Craney and Jevons, very disappointed with their performances to date for so called league 1 players.Bring in Stanley the forgotten and Curtis up front to partner Mullin. We cant do any worse than we have been doing. That said lets behind the boys on saturday and help them to 3 points.

am sure they just switched and shuffled to 4 4 2 later on, and am absolutely all for a flat back 4, hopefully SM might go for it at the weekend

infact it was 5 3 2 Duffy Drummond Craney to start off with in midfield, although i remember Duffy as right wingback in the 2nd half
