Change the shirt numbers??

I presume it was to fool the opponents. What they did was that the higher numbered shirts like 8,9,10,11 were worn by the defenders and lower numbers 1,2,3,4 were worn by the strikers/midfield. I suppose it wouldn't work now with all these strange squad numbers like 23 and 21 but it's an off the wall idea. As you can see I'm clutching at straws
