I was suprised to see how far Chesterfield had got with theirs as I thought we were further ahead of them when they started. I thought I heard/read the steel was meant to have been delivered a week or two ago but nothing seems to have gone up yet.

Sorry but my PR agency has been instructed to put an embargo on all future information regarding my companys involvement until our sponsorship package has been watered down due to a co-sponsor bottling out of any deal. Their may be a trickle of information towards the end of next week. However no formal agreement is likely to be signed until spring, at which time events will take their natural course.

The stadium has to be fit for purpose if we are to continue our league adventure, in time for the next season, it does not look like anyone is pulling their plums out down there at the minute, but then again, if we could avoid the football league deadline by dropping into the conference, and groundshare with lancaster for a while............ I bet sainsburys dont p--s around when they get the keys to christie park :?:

Oh god I hope the board are reading this thread otherwise what chance have they got of remembering that the stadium needs to be built in time for next season.

For those of you without yesterdays Match programme:

400 reinforced concrete piles have been driven in to support the stands to a maximum of 15metres (it was going to be 350 but they are obviously allowing for CC  )

Total length of piles ~ 3 miles! :o

Main stand foundations now in place. Stand fabrication to be completed off-site.

... and guess what ~ the steelwork is due to be delivered tomorrow ~ Monday!!
