Not that it makes alot of difference to the Shrews as Simpson has already been offered more than enough financial claut to go and get whoever he likes but the trouble is most of the current squad are already on contracts so he has almost hit the most he can sign as not many other clubs at this level will want/can afford to pay a transfer fee for any of their current players, although I do foresee some going out on loan within the next two month's as the squad is getting too big, as is the wage bill.

Simpson is at it again. Not happy with signing:
Shane Sherriff from Tranmere
Grant Holt - Shrewsbury's record transfer from Notts Forest
Paul Murray - Gretna skipper 2008
Michael Jackson - Blackpool skipper 2008

Now the rumour mill suggests Simpson is after signing goalkeeper Michael Oakes, just released by Cardiff

The Shrews must now have a bloody huge wage bill? Surely some have to be released/loaned prior to the new season?
God help Simpson if they don't get a top 3 finish because 4th is as good as 7th :!:
