Not seen any mention of them been injured for us anywhere - is that the first league game Rochey as missed for us it will be interesting if we go 442 or 532

Lets hope that Davies does well, Roche is a massive loss!

Sounds as though Scott will be in for the next 4-5 weeks if Sammy's post match comments are as bad as he fears.

Is Barry's injury a result of the challenge the other week, or a training ground accident?

A big blow and something we just don't need at the moment, with all the other injuries / illness we have in the squad.

I am with you on that. Scott hasn't IMHO come on enough to be considered as a league 2 keeper.

If Barry is out for 5 weeks I would like to see an experienced keeper signed on loan. As we dont have another keeper on the books I think we will have to sign one on loan anyway.

if thats the case with Roche being out for 4-5 weeks, things look bleak, id say we have a serious relegation battle now

You and me and hundreds of others too.....but I can't see the Board allowing that situation to arise. There's too much at stake to allow relegation to become an issue.

I'm not sure Scott has ever had an opportunity to prove himself. Despite the mauling yesterday, it didn't sound like Scott was at fault for any of the goals, so I'd be inclined to give him the next few games to see what he can achieve.

Aldershot had few problems in securing an easy home win over Morecambe.

The hosts took an early lead when striker Marvin Morgan combined well with midfielder Scott Donnelly and fired home.

Craig Stanley turned the ball into his own net after a Morgan cross and Kirk Hudson made it three, poking in after a sloppy error from keeper Scott Davies.

Louis Soares scored a fourth with Paul Mullin's late strike denying Aldershot their first clean sheet of the season.

Wilson's fault as much as Davies - complete lack of communication between the two.

I'm pretty sure the commentary made it sound like Wilson's fault. Anyone who was there describe what happened?

I am afraid that SD was poor yesterday. Even Bentley could not look at him by the end of the game. He is not good enough for League 2 - the fact that Sammy has always signed a new keeper throughout our time in the league when he has always been here is further testament to that.

Scott has never had the chance to prove himself as a leauge 2 keeper so nobody can say he can't cut it at this level he did a fantastic job at Wembley agree he would not be first choice if Barry was match fit but unless we can sign somebody on loan it looks like Scott will get his chance although would be suprised if we didn't try and get anbody in because if BR is going to be out for a few weeks it is a big risk to only have one fit keeper bearing in mind that in the next few weeks there are a couple of reserve games as well

He is a good keeper, but too short with all due respect.


from where in sit in the stand near the steps, he is two thirds the size of my thumb when in the away goal, he seems taller, a full thumb, when in the other goals at the north stand end, roachy was a full thumb in size in the away end goals, joe lewis was a full hand tall in the away goal end, brian jensen from burnley was even taller and wider, i wonder if we could get him on loan

We could and should have had this game won by half time, couldn't believe the amount of chances we created and on another day the scoreline could have easily been reversed. I'm not a rose tinted specs supporter by any stretch of the imagination but there's not a lot wrong with our team that a win wont put right confidence wise.

After watching the goals it looks more like davies fault it looks like wilson goes to head it back to the keeper and hes come running out like an idiot without shouting to wilson that he was coming for the ball davies is not commanding enough and he thinks he is better than he actully is. All but the own goal looked soft and i would have expected any half decent keeper to do better im very worried if he is going to be in goals for the next 5 weeks.

On the TV, it's not possible to see if Davies was shouting or not, as he arrives in the frame late.

It was a failure of communication on both parts - Davies shouldn't have come without calling, Wilson shouldn't have played it back like that if he hadn't heard a shout.

I don't see why we have to pin it on one player, when they both made mistakes.

In that situation wilson has to make a decision based on what he hears because hes got his eyes on the ball he can't just leave it on the off chance the keeper comes wilson did what he had to do davies shouldnt have come out for that anyway he was nowhere he had a clear vision of what was happining and should have stayed on his line.

If it doubt, boot it out. Therefore Wilson equally responsible in my book.
