Hmm... I've been niggling away at the thought of a day trip tomorrow for what should be a cracking game. But I've just seen the weather forecast and heard that the sailing to Liverpool tomorrow has already been cancelled with "severe gales" moving in :( Ah well, Morecambe Player it is then.

For anyone travelling any distance tomorrow (including Shrewsbury fans) I'd set off a little earlier and drive a little slower, you are likely to meet some heavy rain with those high winds, so take care.

Risk of disruption Warning Valid North West England:Cumbria

Severe Gales Sat 3 Oct
There is a moderate risk of severe weather affecting parts of southern Scotland and northeast England along with parts of Cumbria on Saturday. Westerly winds will gust 50-60 mph at times with gusts to 70 mph possible.

Issued at: 0954 Fri 2 Oct

That doesn't sound too bad...
Shipping Forecast
Lundy Fastnet Irish Sea Shannon:
West or southwest, veering northwest later in Shannon, 5 to 7, occasionally 4 at first, occasionally gale 8 in Irish Sea, perhaps gale 8 later in Lundy and Fastnet. Slight or moderate, becoming moderate or rough, occasionally very rough later in Shannon. Rain or showers. Good, occasionally poor.

Hmm, gale force 8 would be uncomfortable at best, stranded with a ferry not sailing at worst.
