Wayne Curtis Golf and Dinner Sunday October 4th

Wayne Curtis Golf and Dinner Sunday October 4th

Postby Morecambe FC » Fri Oct 02, 2009 8:14 am

I'm sure you will be delighted to know that the Golf part of Wayne's day this Sunday is all but 2 teams, SOLD OUT. We do have a few Hole sponsorships available for £50 and should any SV's members out there have a business or boss who would like to advertise their name on the day, please email me direct on markd@morecambefc.com

There are still quite a few seats available for the evening meal at Morecambe Golf Club. For a very reasonable £20 you get to have your tea with past and present players who will be in attendance. There are some great raffle prizes and a couple of very special auction items.

The evening is a great opportunity for fans to say thank you to Wayne for his loyal service. Anyone wanting to reserve a ticket can email me on the address above. With the event being on Sunday we will trust that everyone who reserves a seat will turn up on the evening and pay for their ticket on the night. I am hoping we will sell out which means they are given on a 1st come 1st served basis. You will get an email confirming whether or not you have got tickets.

It says evening dinner at Morecambe FC on the flyer, should this be Morecambe GC?

That's fantastic! I just hope the Stagecoach driver knows about it :? Or is Christie driving?

Anybody got a hole in one yet I wonder

On second thoughts I suggest not entering the promenade via the Hest Bank approach for a few hours yet unless you have a tin hat at the ready

Kai Fuk Road sounds a bit dodgy too:

Wayne was crapping himself having to do a speech but we were all worn out by then as Jimbo the auctioneer continually emptied our pockets! He can have a job selling for me when his career is over ~ anyone who can sell the shirt of Les's back and get me to take my socks off in public must be in the loop

Thanks to Perks for letting me "buy" my socks back and I hope he enjoys wearing Les's Hawaaian shirt at the weekend

As you say Sean a great value for money night of entertainment ~ apart from the fiver a go to ring that B***** bell! I also liked the way Jim charged everyone a fiver to collect their raffle prizes ~ we were all hoping not to win

My sides are still hurting     Jim's comment that the players were all in attendance to spend their Draw bonuses was just too much to take!

Congratulations Wayne and many thanks must go to M.G.C. for laying on a fabulous dinner ~ very tasty :D

To see the M.F.C. Captain and the M.G.C. Captain embracing was quite captivating :o

P.S. Stanners team won the Golf so he was grinning like a Cheshire Cat all evening ;)

I thought the best part of the night was when the bell almost fell off the wall - great recovery and repair job though!
