Jimbo (obviously jb)

The green flash (gerry irving from the 1960s)

you get the gist, an anything goes nickname party for players past and present (with polite repect accorded at all times)

I know we talked about attracting the local Polish community down to Christie but that is too far!

Dorothy - Russ Perkins

Googie - Peter Withers

Ossie Pylon - Ollie Parillon (so-named by the match announcer at Horwich, then it stuck)

Purple Parrot (or 'aubergine albatross', 'puce pigeon' or any other colour-bird combination) - Dean Greygoose, erstwhile journeyman goalie. He once turned round to us, laughing his head off when we were goading him thus as he was trying to take a goalkick, and shouted 'will you lot pack it in, I can't do this for laughing' - top lad!

Bernie Clifton's Comedy Ostrich - a current player who runs like the aforementioned 70s entertainment icon (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EtsQPt54SBg).

Not Morecambe players but two footballer nicknames that made me chuckle...

The former Sheff Wed Frenchman, Giles DeBilder

Bob!

And Watford (?) player Fitz Hall

One size!

Am I right in thinking that Andy Grimshaw was known as "Yard Dog" for his in your face midfield play?
