Can anyone tell me why when Morecambe score a goal we don't have music I have been to several away games now and they play music when the home team scores...Over to you fellow shrimpvoices?

Alot of people find it cheap & annoying - No need for it either IMO when the fans should be making the noise after a goal.

A bit of a bold statement....has there been a vote?

For me it adds atmosphere and doesn't do any harm.

This.

If we ever play that bloody Fratellis song after a goal, I'll cry.

We haven't had a vote, but plenty of threads on it in the past, and I can remember alot of people being against it.

Ice Hockey use it all the time Music that is, last match I was forced to go to in Karlstad had a
Reginald Dixon lookalike banging it out on his Organ every time the home side scored. All the real fans where doing a seated version of the "Oki Koki" and to be honest it was one of those moments when you feel embarrassed for someone  . No Music for me, But if we all cheer goals loud enough and long enough we would never hear it.

Just in case the younger end where wondering ...Reg

For the love of God no..

It cuts the crowd celebrations short and adds nothing. Surely the celebrations themselves create enough of an atmosphere for anything else to be rendered redundant?

Waits with baited breath for when Mark S gets back from his nap

One thing I did pick up on though (Swids) is the goal celebration tune - man, that was loud - and good too - it got me bloody annoyed every time I heard it! - and if that was their intention - IT WORKED! - maybe we should have the same?

Not up to me, even the fans are divided on this when it gets mentioned. The majority thought it is cheesy the last time we debated it on here. Personally I am open to persuasion but I dont think you can beat the North Stand roar when we score and a 'celebration tune' could drown that out!

Indeed there are "1500" regular home fans and there are 779 registered SV users (some with more than one name) of which half "sit in the background".

Therefore a vote on here would'nt represent the majority I.M.O.

That's pretty much the system used in General Elections, so if it's good enough for 20% of the available electorate to choose who runs the country, I think it's good enough for Shrimpsvoices to be seen as representative!

what if we play the number one song in the charts everytime we score a goal? this way it is a popular song AND it changes from week to week so doesnt get repetitive?

I'd still like the " na na na nana na na Morecambe" from Hey Jude, that would go down well
