Wayne's 100

In order to celebrate Wayne's testimonial year I have embarked on a project to celebrate Wayne's top 100 goals for the shrimps through art. My choice is the second v York play off semi-final. I think I have captured the anxiety within the ground as the ball comes back to Wayne for the the third time, followed by the elation as the ball hits the back of the net.

Please feel free to sketch your personal favourites.

Superb i think that you have captured the moment to perfection. I think that gnasher will be out of a job if you could upload the action shots sooner ;) ;)

Excellent work Dragofly.

My only criticism if I'm being picky is my recollection was of Wayne being out to the left of the goal rather than right in front.

Absolutely - this will become a legendary theme if you keep it up, drago, quality stuff.

(Do you do requests? - If so, Sammy and Danny Adams' 'coming together' at Wembley would be good to see.)

The goal shown is surely Wayne's greatest of all time, the one he scored away at York when he skillfully avoided the usual methods of scoring e.g. foot, head and used another part of his anatomy instead.

If you look at the work of art closely you can just see tears trickling off his chin onto his shirt. It's attention to detail like this which could make Dragofly works of art very collectable indeed.

That Lowryesque style took me back to that goal, happy days indeed!
Are prints of this available?

Could this be the next big thing after Banksy?

I can see a possible exhibition on the horizon.

Dragofly @ Christies Gallery has an air of expectation and mystical character about it.

Does that include FA trophy, LDV/JPT and Lancashire Cup which aren't mentioned on the official website?
