Twissy's Goal Singled Out

Twissy's Goal Singled Out

Postby Martin » Sun Aug 23, 2009 12:00 am

Just watched the Football League Show and Twissy's goal was singled out for a special mention after the League 2 Round-up.

Mind you, it was a bit special. Good to see Twiss slowly returning to his old form.

Would that be the one after the round of obscenties directed at someone in the car wash? F*** off you brick, ??? you f****** c***! Totally inappropriate and abusive response to a lifelong Morecambe fan's question about his tactics (that wasn't abusive). Makes a mockery of the "Morecambe is a family club" announcement (I wonder what the very young kids nearby made of it?).

Good to know he values fans so highly...makes me glad to know I paid to watch him. :(

If fans give abuse to their own players then they deserve a bit of umpty when something like Arts's goal happen.

I remember Keith Galley giving the Shrimps fans a V sign after scoring when he had received abuse !

Heysham Shrimp, the only thing that was said to Artell was after yet another 50 yard aimless boot of the ball up field from him was "what was that" to be met with a foul mouthed response of abuse was tottaly out of order.

While clearly swearing is not acceptable, If he had just made a mistake, he probably didnt need his nose rubbing in it! 'What was that?' might seem innocuous but it was a conscious decision to give a player negative feedback while he is on the pitch. Personally I would prefer supporters to support.

Over reaction by Arts clearly but dont blow it out of proportion.

To be fair to Dave over the last 2 seasons myself and a couple of friends have been betting on the Artell huff count, Yesterday was a all time low of 3, this was due to the fact that Manny was always looking for the ball just in front of him.

That one should be added to his Porfolio on YouTube ;)

I thought Jevons would make a good strike partnership with Twissy but after watching the game yesterday he's not up to Twissy's standard :o

There were 3 guys stood behind me yesterday commenting on Twissy after he made one bad pass , saying " He's finnished " :o
I turned to my Fat Finn mate and said he doesn't sound a bit like you .
