Glen, sorry to ask, but have you any in your archives from the Visitor?
Mike Williamson may have some?

We will have somewhere but we've centralised our photography department and the person who usually retrieves photogs from the archives and keeps all the files is off sick at the moment. With the move not quite settling down yet it's difficult for me to trace anything at the moment, hence the request.

I'd have explained more in any PMs but basically a chap has been in to tell us about his dad, Jack Orkney, who was instrumental in setting up the auxiliary club and providing funds which kept the club afloat in the 1960s.
It'll make a nice feature but he didn't have any photos. He mentions the old scratching shed, 1960s players and the game against Weymouth as well as the auxiliary club.
Cheers philja but it's a bit further back I'm looking for (keep that link for reference though, ta!)

I too remember the Scrattin shed complete with tea bar you could get hot meat pies and Bovril, times never change. Grandparents lived behind "Scrattin Shed" Grandfather used to watch games from bedroom window!! he was too big to sneak in through the fence like us kids!
My whole family were loyal members of the Auxilary Club. My Grand father even used to take his own chair!
Those were the days, the support was fantastic win or loose. I remember very well the Weymouth game, what a turnout. Also travelling to the away games at the likes of Wigan,Darwen,Netherfied etc. in the Lancashire Combination days.
I spend much of my time in Andalucia Spain now but when at home try and spend most of my time in the North Stand with many other "Sand grown un's"
Unfortunataley I do not have any photos, but I have some very good memories and I am sure there are many other loyal supporters of Morecambe FC who have the same.
