Morecambe WORLD - Live commentaries now available

Hi all,

The next stage of Morecambe FC's website development is to introduce live full match commentaries from all our League 2 home and away games and this will hopefully be in place within a couple of weeks. We are working with BBC Radio Lancashire and the Football League to put the technology in place.

However for the time being the WORLD service has been made available to Morecambe fans from today. This means anyone who registers for the Morecambe World Service can receive the commentaries through our opponents' websites. That means WORLD subscribers can go to the Wycombe website on Saturday and get the full game live (albeit from a Wycombe angle).
This is the case for all FLI sites (79 clubs in all and most clubs in League 2).

The benefits of this, for example, include access to other local Football League sites which you or your family may follow such as Blackburn, PNE, Blackpool and Burnley, for their interactive coverage. You could also get a low down on our League 2 rivals every week as the majority of the clubs are in the FLI system and view extended match highlights and club videos from across the Football League.

To become a WORLD member now go to http://www.morecambefc.premiumtv.co.uk/ ... 66,00.html

The service costs £3.99 a month
£34.99 for an annual pass by Direct Debit (UK only)
or £39.99 by credit card

The plan is to rollout commentaries over the next few weeks. Shortly after once we've got our new video equipment up and running we plan to bring you exclusive interviews, pre and post-match reaction from Sammy and much, much more.

Nathen Quinny I was getting very excited then until I saw the (UK only) thing

Then I realised that may have been a payment only thing.

Does the world include Sydney?.

I'm pretty sure it includes anywhere Aspers because it is commentary through the web.
I think that is how a lot of clubs generate income from overseas celebs like yourself.
PS I don't know if we have ever spoke but my dad was really good pals with your father through the Morecambe club scene many moons ago.

Quinny what time does the commentary start?

I've signed up and recieved my confirmation e-mail.

When I click the link, even to the games that have already started nothing comes up.
It opens up my media player it says connecting to media "reflector: number of game" but then nothing.
The "help" is no help "web page may have moved".

I/we finally got the commentary coming through during the game.

MarkS said what's the first thing any tech helpline tell you to do?
"turn it off, then back on again"

So I closed down my media player, clicked on the link on the webpage it re-opened the media player and away it went.

That commentator, the guy off BBC news, what a knob he was!

At the end of the first half he was screaming into the mic "what was that for" when one of their players got booked, I don't think he said which player :? .

He invited e-mails to read out then ignored them.

Sean you could have given him a team sheet "...their number 4 passes to their number 11.." etc.

I hope Quinny does a better job, more informative about the opposition players.
Can't wait to hear Quinny screaming into the mic at the ref!

Hi Mick
glad you got your computer working properly and that you were able to listen in

the guys who were doing the commentary were at the other side of the ground

as for our commentary expect a professional job from quinny and myself hopefully in time for the bury away game mate

Signed up and listened to the full 90 mins. It was like a scene from the 50,s in our house with the four of us sat listening to the radio (well computer) Agre with Micks comments on their commentators, when we had possession it just went quiet until they got the ball back. there is also a delay, we had gillette soccer on the telly and it came up as half time before the ref had blown his whistle.
this is an excellent service for those fans who don't travel.

Signed up and saw the clips from Wycombe game. Somewhat disappointed that it appears we only had that one chance on goal and scored. I would have thought they would have shown Carr's effort that was blocked on the line.

Otherwise same as on Championship Goals on Sunday.

No doubt will come into its own when I can listen to away action live.
