It wasn't as bad as the score would suggest. We continued to play it on the deck even when 5 down, but with no penetration up front our only option was to pass sideways too often. On tonights performance we are stuffed when so low on strikers and as somebody else posted our midfield needs looking at.

Duffy kept running into their defenders as did Wilson but to their credit they never gave up.

Craney is no striker and looked frustrated at times.

Artell in defence was..well Arts nuff said?

All in all a poor night score wise but not performance wise. There's pllenty of time to get it right starting at fellow 5-1 defeatists Burton on Saturday.

I just hope we can get that additional striker in before too long.

I have been worried for a while about how slow our defence is and tonight against faster Championship players it highlighted it even more. I don't understand why we had Adams at left back against quick players he hardly ever got near his man. He can only just get away with playing in a 3. At times the defence was a shambles and the sooner Jimbo is back the better to get them organised.

Good first half though and at least we didn't resort to the long ball.

Just a point about the seating at Deepdale I'm glad i don't have to pay to watch football in that stand nearly needed oxygen by the time i got up to my seat and was getting light headed due to the altitude. you really cant beat standing at matches :) :) :)
