O/T Jim Harvey update

Go get 'em Jim!

Seriously if his contract said that he had to inform FGR if he intended speaking to another club and needed their permission then...... :?: :?: :?: However if his contract said nothing of the like..... :?: :?: :?:

No contract of employment I've ever had has stated that I must inform my present emplyers that I intended to go for an alternative position.

Could be different in football though.

Its called an illegal approach when it's a player, or tapping up if its done circuitously, same for managers as is it players. If the manager, while under contract and that may mean more than it does in your business ( I don't know if stalking the first team counts), approaches another team and touts themselves without asking their own club then that's a breach of contract.

Your not that up on current events though for a bloke who says he's in the loop on everything :o

Only hearsay but I also heard from some fans last week that the cambridge job wasn't the only one Jim had been up for.

Thing to remember is that an employment tribunal make their decisions based on the balance of probabability. so what's the probabability that he'd applied for another job without telling anybody?

suspect it will be one of those that goes down the civil route after which both sides will declare a resounding victory. But that might be just me being Mr Cynical.

Been involved with Wrexham very recently and it wouldn't surprise me if they appoint him in some capacity i.e assistant manager as Wrexham are struggling (under Saunders) to get to grips with the BSP and if anyone knows it, Jim does.

Whether he breached contract or not surely it would have been better to talk it over and keep him. They're in serious trouble now and Jimmy would be the man to keep them up.

Hope he gets another job anyway. He's proven his quality at two clubs in the Conference now.

I wish Jim well...but have to wonder if he can work alongside SV?

However good to see him back in management.
