Central Defender #3

Central Defender #3

with Bentley out the back 3 of defenders pretty much picks itself with only artell pushing the 3 that started against hereford, but when Jimbo returns which of the three would give way? with duffy at right wing back i can only see moss playing in the centre, adams is a good player and puts in a hell of a tackle, and haining looks composed on the ball and defends well, artell seems to have been pushed out but offers a real aerial threat with his height and then theres mcstay and parrish in the wings also so just wondering what would your back three be :?:

Mine would probably be Haining...Bentley...Adams

I would't put Duffy at wing back. I'd play him in midfield with Stanners and Craney.

i dunno with Adams.

he kept getting caught out for pace, and deservedly got booked if it had been any nearer our goal he could have had a straight red card

mine would be -> Moss Bentley Haining

But some of the tackles he makes are out of this world.

but am afraid some of his challenges he makes to win the ball in the air are not, for obvious reasons

id only ever play him when Bentley is not fit, i dont think you can seriously play them both in the same team at L2 level, and hope to be succesfull

Wouldn't have a back three , i would prefer a back four of -

Moss.............. Haining .............. Jimbo.............. Wilson .

Then if you play Wainwright and Duffy out wide they have the pace to get back an support the defence and vise versa . Maybe experiment with Drummy up front as he can both shoot and head the ball with Jevons playing off him . :o
