Nothing to do with Larkin but Thommo was an unused sub for Scunthorpe on Saturday.

He isnt going to play many games this season.

maybe a cheeky bid ;) ;)

Good luck to the guy.

Their manager knows him from days past and like Sammy sometimes signs players who have a previous connection with.

Rumour is that Sammy wanted to sign him, but with another younger striker already lined up albeit on a years loan, then it was down to a simple matter of finance for one only. As I've said rumour only!

I'd have liked Larkin to sign though.

Good point, he wont get many games at championship level, he didn't even play at wembley! His facebook status on Saturday was ' Another boring & pointless day ' or something to that effect - He isn't 100% happy at the moment if you ask me, not saying he'll come back here though (although it would be great)

There's no secret that Sammy is after somebody else on loan to partner PJ. I'm probably 1 million miles away from the actual player concerned but I wonder if Thommo is in the frame? It's rumoured that he's not totally happy with his present situation.

Nah....stupid boy CC!

To be fair though, this is the first year he's come back after the summer, not looking
clinically obese.

Actually, I think he might have lost abit of weight, either that or the shirts make him looks thinner

Mellor has lost alot of weight, he is alot more agile. He is much faster than he was and IMO he will do well for preston, he is going to be a great attacking asset. So calling him obease really is out of the picture ;)
