Tune into Radio lancs between 7 and 8 to hear the dulcet tones of Freez and the evergreen Rod Taylor sharing their thoughts on the forthcoming season. Accrington, Blackpool and some team from Preston also featured. Listen out for the word 'Flappage'. I challenged Freez to get it in.

It was announced on the programme that Accys captain Peter Cavanagh has been baned for eight months for his part in the betting scandal, the day before the season starts, now that's what you call bad timing. You would think that the hearing could have been held a bit sooner.

True but then again the players were charged back in April.
