I Personally think a "Farewell to Christie Park party" would be a great idea.

Personally would love to see the final day made into a festival of football, old boys introduced to the crowd, maybe even a game before the main league one, then entertainment, one last fling from the shrimpetes, a family area on the next door field with rides and bouncy castle for those who may not be overtly football orientated but want to come along, then a concert in the evening, drinks in the bar obviously. a long goodbye, but a nice one. I'd hate to think that it would just all end with the toot of the referees whistle. I'm sure Mark et al at the club have had a imilar conversation.

Thats assuming either

A- Automatic promotion?

B- Second play off leg at home?

C - Mid table mediocrity?

I understand discussions are taking place about the send off.

If the Aldershot game isn't the last at Christie Park that would be a Brucie Bonus, but I'm not going to jinx us by saying anything too optimistic. It would be appropriate that the first and last games in the last season were against former conference foes, but if that's not the case you wont find me complaining.
