I for one will certainly be giving him a good reception when he returns if only for his goal against Bradford!

Hope he's not above showing some appreciation to the Morecambe fans.

I was at the Rochdale away game last season and he went over and applauded their fans, although they gave him a good reception... can't see everyone of our fans being the same.

I wonder where we would have been without his goals though?

I agree, but his attitude spoils him :|

Can't argue with that, but I'd like to think that we remember and acknowledge him for what he did in terms of goals. A dignified round of applause says more about who we are and what we represent than a load of abuse in my opinion.

He had "grown tired of waiting for a League 1 Club to come along"

He "would have scored more if we had had better wingers" :o

He did look exasperated on occasions when nobody crossed it to him.

And some of our other players might have scored had he not been so bloody selfish so often. He gave away a lot of possession.

You are all assuming he will get up out of bed in time for the trip North!

Looking at that belly, looks like he has been shovelling in the Nandos! :o

I think the other player in the photo is looking at Rene's belly judging by the slightly worried look on his face.

Attitude aside i wish he was still here, he would have made a great strike partner for Jevons.

Listening to the interview on the BBC website - The same old Rene Howe

'If there had been better wingers I would have scored more goals' - How arrogant can you get, what sort of player says that about his ex teammates.

'I enjoyed my time at Rochdale & Morecambe, the lads were good' - No mention of the fans then?

Yes, he would have been a perfect partner for Jevons, but I'd rather have someone else in his place who's commited to the club, and playing for the shirt week in week out.

"If the club had been a bit better I'd have got myself a few more goal bonuses"...maybe if we had better supply (any club needs better supply) we might not have needed you pal.

Agreed the goal against Bradford was the best I've seen all season but the guy needs a year or so in priary school

To be honest, I can't wait until we do the double over Lincoln this season, then we'll see Rene running back to Posh looking for another loan spell somewhere else.
